As part of our commitment to the community, AAAA donates balloon rides to qualifying organizations and participates in events with balloon appearances, including static displays, tethers, and launches.

Ride Donation Policy
- To the extent there is any monetary compensation for the ride donation (including donations made to a charitable organization, e.g. silent auction), the donated ride must be performed by a pilot holding a commercial pilot certificate and a Class 2 medical in accordance with FAA requirements. Please note that this limits the number of AAAA pilots who will be able to fulfill such donation requests.
- A majority of our AAAA pilots fly in the Albuquerque metro area. Please take this into consideration when making your donation request.
- AAAA-sponsored ride donations are available exclusively to non-profit, charitable organizations. Civic and community-related events may also be considered.
- AAAA does not sponsor ride donations for organizations seeking to fundraise for non-charitable activities. If possible, AAAA will help connecting with an appropriate organization.
- The AAAA Community Relations Committee will evaluate requests to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for non-profit, charitable organizations.
- If demand exceeds AAAA’s capacity to fulfill ride donations, the Community Relations Committee will prioritize requests based on need and alignment with the mission.
- This policy applies only to AAAA-sponsored ride donations. Individual AAAA members are encouraged to donate rides independently to any organization of their choice, including those ineligible for AAAA-sponsored donations.
To request a ride donation or appearance, please review our donation policy above, then complete this form. Please make your request at least 2 months in advance of your deadline.
